Can we go back to those days? #bachpan

Can we go back to those days,
When responsibility was just a word we never knew?
When happiness was wrapped in a single rupee toffee,
And the world seemed so simple, so true.

When little fights between friends ended with a "sorry,"
And it actually meant something real,
When the evenings spent talking with family
Healed every wound we didn't even feel.

Mom’s hugs—oh, how they cured every pain,
Her food tasted like a feast, a love unspoken,
The little things shared between us,
Were the best stories, the ones never broken.

When school was more than just lessons to learn,
It was laughter with friends that made it shine,
Returning home, heart full of joy,
To cartoons that made everything feel fine.

Waiting for Dad to return,
The door would open, and our hearts would leap,
Sitting together for dinner,
Was a moment so precious, it felt like a dream too deep.

Sitting on Dad's shoulders, felt like top of the world,
Falling asleep on Mom’s lap, with her warm hands,
Was the best pillow you will ever find.
Fighting over chocolates, just to share a bite,
But always, always ready to help each other, with all our might.

Oh, to go back to those days so sweet,
Where love was simple, and hearts did meet.
Those moments we treasured, those memories pure,
The magic of childhood, forever to endure. :)

Time has started to fly lately and I do not mean it in the cliched, overused way. I really feel that because of the constant overconsumption of information, in terms of reels, commercials, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, TV, gripping series, and so on. I remember our school period ...

Every damn year, the breakdown comes swiftly, like a storm untold, heart racing, mind spinning, losing control. What seems like joy then feels like a weight, an imbalance growing, too heavy, too late.
