The Fabulous FAB LA: Where Football is for everyone
Football is a game that unites people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. But let's be honest, there are moments when you step onto the field and think, "Maybe this is just for the young, the fit, and those who can run like they're being chased by a swarm of bees." Enter the Fabulous Lodha Amara FC, or as we affectionately call it, Fab LA—a motley crew of football enthusiasts who defy these stereotypes and remind us that football truly is for everyone.

Picture this: a 65+ year-old Augustine Sir, still spry enough to make those pinpoint passes, playing alongside a 13-year-old goalkeeper eager to prove his mettle. It's a beautiful chaos where age is just a number, and passion is the only currency that matters.
Fab LA gathers on weekend mornings, and from the outside, they we might look like a group of misfits—perhaps not the most athletic bunch—but we play with all the passion and heart of a bathroom singer belting out tunes in the shower. Spend some time with us, and you'll realize it's a league of extraordinary gentlemen (and a few not-so-gentlemen).
Let's start with the heart and soul of our group: Augustine Sir. Not only is he an inspiration for his fitness and skill, but he's also the glue that holds this unconventional band together. And let's not forget the real reason we all show up: the post-game samosa and chai breakfast, (and the annual Christmas cake that Augustine Sir brings).
Our games are less about winning and more about cherishing the time together, celebrating our fading fitness, and reminiscing about how good we once were. For the younger players, it's about getting stronger and better with each game.
Now, let's meet some of the characters that make Fab LA so special:
YadavJi: Often picked last, but don't let that fool you. This 60+ businessman owns a factory in Navi Mumbai and is surprisingly good at volleyball. Or so we think when we peek over at the volleyball court.
Anup Nair: A media mogul who commutes from Mumbai and Nashik just to play with us. He also finds time to visit his parents, proving that football isn't his only commitment.
Ajay Bhai: Imagine Bruce Lee playing football. That's Ajay Bhai for you. He might miss the ball occasionally, but never the person trying to dribble past him.
Brij Bhai: Known for his cannon-like shots, he's also an entrepreneur with a knack for organizing events and securing sponsors. Just don't stand in front of him when he's clearing the ball.
Brandon the Dentist: A great player, even better with bad jokes. His knees might be on strike, but his humor is always on point.
Mehul: A second-generation businessman who loves walking his dog and playing football with us on weekends.
Vinod Bhai: Our very own Batista from WWE, complete with knee caps and a bandana. He proves he's still got it with his footwork.
Pradeep Bhai: The reason half of Amara knows when the game is on. His loud shouts for fouls are legendary.
Santy (Santosh): So fit that he plays alongside his 20+ year-old son. He loves running and occasionally graces us with his presence on the football field.
Chetan Bhai: Our resident goalkeeper who loves to complain about his defenders and laugh at the strikers.
Rahul: His body might have slowed down, but his mind refuses to accept it. Watching him dribble in slow-mo is a treat.
Ronny: Once a U19 India probable, now training young players and investing his time in nurturing talent.
And let's not forget the kids who join us, inspiring us with their skills and reminding us why we love the game. From the gifted brothers Nishant and Krish to the resilient Adi, Jr. Santy, Shreyansh who is getting faster, better with time, and the ever-improving Ayush, they keep the quality of the game high and push us to be better.
Fab LA is more than just football; it's about friendship, laughter, and the love of the game. Whether you're here to relieve stress, meet friends, or simply enjoy a good game, Fab LA welcomes you with open arms and a hearty laugh.

So, if you're looking for a group where you can be yourself and enjoy football without the pressure to perform, look no further. Just bring your passion, your sense of humor, and maybe a knee brace or two. Enjoy your time, enjoy your football.
