TSP Player Profile: Shreyansh Pohare

Shreyansh Pohare is a standout young talent at TSP, often regarded as one of the most gifted players in the team. His exceptional skills have been evident since last year when he excelled in defense. This year, despite a demanding work and internship schedule, Shreyansh has taken on a pivotal role in leading TSP Division 2's attack. His performance is closely tied to the team's success; when Shreyansh is at his best, the team thrives, but when he has an off day or faces injuries, the results are challenging.

Fitness is one of Shreyansh's greatest assets. He possesses the stamina to run and sprint for the entire 90 minutes of a match, making relentless runs from the halfway line to the opposition's goal to attack, and back to defend. His endurance and energy are remarkable, and he knows how to channelize it effectively on the field.

Shreyansh embodies the heart of a champion, always striving to achieve more. He is never satisfied with his performance, constantly pushing himself to do better. His openness to learning is one of his most admirable qualities. Much like the character portrayed by Amir Khan in "3 Idiots," where Amir Khan says “Charo taraf gyaan bat raha hai, jahan se mile lapet lo” :) 

Shreyansh seeks knowledge from all around him, training with TSP's Ashu and even with Ronny, who coaches young kids at Fab LA.

Only thing that can stop Shreyansh is his irrational love to hit the final ball with his outer foot :) 

Thats his Kryptonite. No matter what the match situation, whether its going to injure him, or how easy other options are. He HAS TO go for that outer foot shot and then we all hope it does its magic !!

At just 19/20 years old, Shreyansh has a bright future ahead. He is expected to experience the ups and downs of life, cherishing successes and learning from failures. Through introspection, he aims to emerge as an improved version of himself. Many see a reflection of their younger selves in Shreyansh and hope he avoids their mistakes, making the most of his natural talent.

However, it's important to remember that Shreyansh is still young and deserves to enjoy his learning journey without the burden of high expectations. We can only hope that he emerges stronger from his experiences and fulfills the potential we all see in him, both in his career and life in general.

Shreyansh, was, is, and will always be a great asset for TSP. Absolutely lucky to have him in our squad. And its so much fun to see him getting “unleashed” on opponents and turning the tide in our favor on his day !!
