TSP Player Profile: Srinath Ramesh

Srinath Ramesh has emerged as one of the standout midfielders for the Division 2 TSP team this season. Known for his brilliant play, Srinath has faced challenges balancing his demanding work schedule with maintaining his fitness. This was evident in the first match of the season, where he was substituted after just 15-20 minutes due to the hot and humid conditions. However, the extended schedule this season has been advantageous for players like Srinath, allowing him to focus on improving his fitness during the longer breaks.

This is us judging him to be subbed within 15 mins

Srinath's determination and winning instinct, (cracking IIM-A is not a joke), have driven him to train rigorously following his initial setback. His efforts have paid off, transforming him into a match-fit player who is a significant asset to the team. Whether coming off the bench as a super sub to create goal opportunities or starting the game to fill in for key midfielders like Yash, Alwyn, or Mayur, Srinath's presence is invaluable.

Despite his commitment to his team, Srinath faces the unique challenge of working both weekends in a strategic role for a leading real estate company (its Lodha, not sure why was I even trying to hide it). This commitment to his job,  initially made him hesitant to register for the team. While some players have working Saturdays, having both weekend days occupied is particularly challenging. The TFA's decision to schedule matches on weekends, while beneficial for many, poses a hurdle for players like Srinath.

Nevertheless, Srinath makes every effort to attend as many training sessions and matches as possible. His playing style is reminiscent of Damian/JD, his work ethic mirrors (read sweats a lot like) KD, and he maintains a positive demeanor like Alwyn. Like Jawad, he excels both on the field and in his career, embodying the qualities of many of TSP's marquee players.

Beyond his professional and athletic commitments, Srinath is also welcoming and open to mentoring young players who seek his career guidance. His willingness to support others is a testament to his character.

As we look forward to future seasons, we hope to see more of the fit and focused version of Srinath on the field. His ability to balance a demanding workload while continuing to play is an inspiration to many. We wish him the best in becoming the best version of himself and inspiring others to pursue their passions alongside their careers.
