TSP Player Profile: Vedant Patil

Vedant Vishwaraj Patil, born on September 26, 2007, is a promising young footballer from Thane, Maharashtra, India. Standing tall at 6 feet and weighing 65 kg, Vedant has been passionately involved in football for 13 years, with aspirations to represent India and play for professional clubs.

Football Journey and Teams:

Vedant's football journey began at a tender age with Football World, where he played in various positions, showcasing his versatility. Under the guidance of coaches like Maclin Dpenha and Varun Dsouza, he honed his skills and participated in numerous competitions, including the Baby Youth League and Monsoon Super League, where his team emerged as title winners.

He later joined Joshua Football Academy (JFA), playing as a winger and midfielder under the mentorship of Enoch Gill. His time at JFA saw him participate in the Leno League and TFA (TYL) U15 and U17 competitions, further developing his skills in multiple positions such as LW, CAM, RW, RB, and LB.

In his penultimate stint Vedant was a key player for Thane City FC, where he played as a fullback and winger. Under the leadership of owner Prashant J. Singh and technical director Agnelo Fernandez, along with coaches Faisal Khan, Prathmesh Chavan, and Devrat Redkar. Vedant contributed to the team's success in various leagues, including the Leno League and Maharashtra State Youth League.

And now Vedant is part of us. Part of Thane Soccer Prodigies, playing for the Div2 team, where he continues to train and participate in practice matches, preparing for future competitions, playing under coach Ashutosh Rathod.

Playing Style and Achievements:

Vedant is known for his goal-scoring abilities, creating opportunities, and delivering precise crosses and through passes. His communication skills, versatility, and leadership on the field make him a valuable team player. He enjoys both offensive and defensive roles, focusing on ball control, accurate passing, and physical endurance.

His achievements include winning titles in the

• Monsoon Super League,

• Leno League, and

• Khasdaar Krida Sangram, among others.

  

  Vedant's dedication to football has instilled in him discipline, teamwork, and resilience, qualities he carries both on and off the pitch.

Personal Life and Interests:

Currently pursuing his 12th grade in Commerce, Vedant balances his academic pursuits with his passion for football. Outside of football, he enjoys swimming, cycling, and gymnastics, activities that complement his athletic lifestyle.

Future Aspirations:

Despite facing a setback with an ACL injury in May 2024, Vedant is committed to his rehabilitation and is eager to return to the field. His dream remains to play professionally at higher league, a goal he continues to work towards with determination and focus.

Meeting his idols has helped ignite those ambitions even brighter !!!

Vedant is yet another young talent at TSP, and we are proud that he dawns our colors. Because of ACL injury he is out for this season. Hoping he comes back next year - strong, faster and skilled and add immense value on the field for which he has tremendous potential.
