Vinyl
A co-worker who shares similar musical interests asked me this question - What albums would you want to own on vinyl.
The medium of choice speaks to the gravity of the question - not just its significance to you but also the listening experience. Picture a sunlit room. Turn table hooked to a high grade amplifier feeding tower speakers or nice headphones. And you just sitting back in your favorite chair, enjoying the music.
That kind of visual does not wed itself well with streaming. It deserves more attention. It needs your involvement and demands your brain space.
Clearly, it needs a good deal of thought to think of what goes on this list.
Here then, after a lot of exfoliation and navel gazing, is mine. For now. In no particular order -
Kind of Blue by Miles Davis.
S&M (1999) by Metallica and San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.
Supernatural by Santana.
Kandisa by Indian Ocean
