Freedom

Freedom to shatter silence, to challenge the wrong,
Freedom to join the chorus, where voices belong.
Freedom to carve a path, through unyielding odds,
Freedom to rise like the sun, breaking the fog.
Freedom to judge with courage, to stand and fight,
Freedom to lift others, to champion the right.
Freedom to dismiss what dims my light,
Freedom to soar and embrace my own light.
Freedom to treasure the memories of those I’ve loved,
Freedom to be cherished and rise above.
Freedom to hold what’s truly mine,
Freedom to flourish in a garden of my design.
Freedom to walk with my head held high,
Among dreamers and doers reaching the sky.
Freedom to live, a story that's mine,
Boundless and bold, by my own design.
Freedom to be you is the biggest freedom of all.
Inspired by writing of Bronnie Ware.
