“From an early age, her natural rhythm and ability to imitate dance movements were evident, and it was clear to her mother's dance guru that Shreya had a unique potential. Her mother started training her in Bharatanatyam at the age of 4.

Interestingly, her deep connection to music and movement was complemented by an impressive aptitude for mathematics, which may have further honed her sense of timing, structure, and precision!

Besides dance, her formal training in Mrudangam (Indian percussion instrument) began early, when she was just 7 years old, enrolling in lessons with the esteemed Vidwan Sri N. Hariharan , senior disciple of the Mrudangam stalwart Sri. Umayalapuram Sivaraman. Shreya improved her technical mastery and also developed a better understanding of the music she played and danced to.

What really makes Shreya stand out is how she can tap into the emotions of a performance, whether she's dancing or playing the Mrudangam.
