Uncommon view.
A view with concrete roofs of multiple buildings, connected to each other by wifi cables. This has been my ideal view for bird watching for the longest time. A view outside my door.
Mynas, sparrows, beaters are common birds. Seen daily. Bee-eaters are rarely seen on tress but more on the wires! Eagles also add upto this list. Always seen gazing from the highest point from the roof, be it on overhead water tanks or on the tip of the water pipes. But, the last day I saw a rare view. 10-15 Eagles on the roof. This is uncommon.
I remember a statement from a talk show that, if you see new or more birds in your surrounding, that might not always be a good sign. So, I was curious to know the reason for this uncommon sight. I also observed that few of birds were flying over the barren land which was lush green the other day. Teenage boys used it as playground for cricket. Animals used it as grazing field. Cows, Buffalos, goats used to take turns on this field, it was a mini grassland. Now the greens are all gone and the land is also tilled. I wonder if it will used to build apartments or for growing crops!. Birds were still flying over the barren land.
I concluded that the Eagles might be looking for the rodents and other worms that be on the top soil due to tilling of the ground and all the Eagles had come to have party. If you are a bird enthusiast let me know if my thoughts are right. Also, as I have more info about birds via free webinars and courses, the birds that I was referring were not “Eagles” but “Black Kite” which are of same family as Eagle.
We seldom assume things as per our awareness. Don’t we?

The image of the yellow wall with the lady and birds juxtaposed on it is stunning.

I live near the HAL airport in Bangalore. It is used for airforce test flights. Once in a while, some VIP planes will land here. The king and queen of England landed here last month when they were on a private visit to Bengaluru.

Another amusing fact about promenading is that some people would even bring their pets, but not just dogs—exotic pets like monkeys, parrots, and even peacocks. These animals were often dressed up in tiny outfits to match their owners' elaborate clothing, turning the promenade int...
