Crash - Part 1

The morning was pleasant - sunshine filtering in through the window.

The warmth in the living room, casually mocking the below freezing temperatures outside. 

He curled up on the couch, caressing his cup of tea, leafing through the latest issue of Road and Track spread out before him. 

It wasn’t the most spirited of mornings, no workout sweat pouring off. Recovering from a fever meant taking it easy. 

Lest he put the upcoming vacation into jeopardy. 

The clock ticked on, Assam’s finest surging its way through the system and the magazine exhausting its glossy pages, it was time to go out and do some shopping. 

She got ready, so did he, shades and water bottle in hand - piled into the new car. 

First stop, quick lunch - hot and quick. Filling and refreshing.
