Day 14 - Future goals

One more month to go. Do you have that habit of retrospecting whole year and wondering what all you could’ve done? Yes there are achievements to be celebrated, small wins and moments that matter too. Mostly it’s the unfinished lists that you would be writing down to complete next year. As if that idea and clarity of achieving those goals drives you and energises you enough to get up and shake the dust off your beautiful bum.

Off late, I have resigned the idea of creating resolutions and having goals. I have failed at (writing-as-a-service) and (doing some form of exercise) every year. I can’t stand the idea of life coaches anymore who divides your life into five categories etc. Having the big goals met like money, family and health, what are we going to do each day, every moment?  That’s what I am aiming for. Apart from reel-scrolling(it’s a word now like googling), do we think of appreciating the mini moments?

Last year, we had a happiness jar in which chits would be put throughout the year, and which would be opened on new years eve or in January. Most of them were on the lines of “had a day out with family”, “grateful for her hugs and kisses”, etc. This year it’s empty because though the moments are there, we hesitate to share it out, or talk it out with each other. I noticed that the usage of mobile for all family members has increased significantly!  That needs to be changed, no? Counting the small joy moments can be the sole goal for next year.

What about you?

Being aware of the small joy moments is a lovely goal to have. Stealing this one for the next year!
