Echoes of firsts
Two worlds collide while you stand and see,
You shatter yourself, asking, "Is it all in me?"
They froth and rage at their empty screens,
You know it's time, to unplug the dream machine.
A finger traces the shadows your life has cast.
You shield them from a future, chained to your past.
In quiet defiance of yourself, you wake up at dawn,
To put in your reps, though the comfort is gone.
Gone for a reason, a reason worth your time.
Do it for the future, so it can grow and climb.
Climb on those shoulders, see what dreams have rehearsed.
What more is life, than the gift of granting firsts?

Keep Pushing On
Cannot believe how quickly life changes colours. The last time I wrote, I wrote about the“Painting of Life” (In 2013 I think). The last 2 lines of that Poem were -
A lonely time
In an abyss, completely broken,
A History
The newness of everything had faded. Even momentary renewal would have helped. So I left. Went as far as I dared. When the scenery was just about unidentifiable, I stopped. Near a cinema. Went in and bought a ticket. Didn't know what was playing or when.
The Joys of life!
I think everyone has some special things where they are completely in the moment. For me dancing and coding are those things which give me the ultimate joy of being in the moment. But lets be real, for both it won’t happen right away. You need to invest time to get to that state...
