Nov 1st-2024,Chalukya Architecture, Mallikarjun Temple

So, This was the 4th day of Diwali, this year a tough one, without Papa's physical presence, And him being with us as our Guiding Star ✨ Mom, Mansha and me hired a driver for the day- what a lovely person he was, Krishna, our guide for the day.. And we headed out with food packed and set for a full day picnic- again difficult to imagine picnics without the Pioneer of Picnics- Papa,Khandu uncle-as so many lovingly called him. And what a beautiful Picnic this was, ask me why? Because my darling daughter, kind and compassionate as she is, suggested the previous night”we will miss Nana at the picnic, let's take him with us” So there we were in our car, with Papa framed photograph with us.. Deep Gratitude for such Blessings..

A day crossing fields of Sugarcane and Jowar, 100’s of Sheep and shepherds, Birds and little flows of water, Clear skies and Ganne ka rass (sugarcane juice) Stopping as we loved, Taking in as much as we wanted, away from the Diwali madness of the city..A Blessed Day.

Sampat Kaka at Mallikarjun temple, ready to greet us and open the temple doors to us, sharing it's ancient history and stone carvings, from doing Etching onto paper with the temple carvings, to the feeling of Diwali with dedicating a Rangoli (Floor design) for Papa.Blissful day and Deep Gratitude, Papa you were/are with us..

Peace and Ease,

Poorva

Day 5 - Feast at the temple

A trip to native is never complete without having the festival lunch at temple. The sadya served is considered tasty and precious gift from the Creator and hence the seniors in the family make sure that we attend it atleast once or maybe more in a year.

I had all at once !

That day... I still remember that day crystal clear as I experienced the energy and existence of him. Here him resonates Lord Ganesha. According to me Lord Ganesha is the god of wisdom, patience and to experience feeling of satisfaction. This is purely based on the experiences I ...

When you have a Marathi father-in-law and a Tamil mother-in-law, you end up compulsorily with a jackpot(2 actually) of yummy “chakli” and “murukku” during the festive season!I captured this last lot of murruku yesterday before it vanished into thin air!
