1.0 Happiness

Hey, just wanted to give a shoutout to my friends for pointing me towards "thinkdeli"—it's like my new go-to spot for spilling my thoughts, haha! So, I've realized that my happiness, comfort, and peace come from the little things around me. Sometimes, we don't even notice that everything we need is right there, just waiting for us to see it.

So, picture this: it's a weekday afternoon, and I'm chilling on the office balcony after lunch, as usual, chatting with my dad. gossiping abut few things, hahaha! but I was also venting about how the office AC was busted and how it totally ruined my day. My dad listened patiently and tried to calm me down with some suggestions.

While we were talking, I glanced down from the 8th floor and saw a construction site with kids playing around. They were living in these tiny steel sheet houses with barely any resources, yet they were having the time of their lives in the scorching sun. I quickly told my dad I'd call him back, recorded a (blurry) video of the kids, and sent it to him. When I called him again, I apologized for whining about the AC. My dad just said, "You're someone who finds joy in the little things, and that's awesome. No need to apologize."

After we hung up, I stayed there watching the kids a bit longer, grinning from ear to ear. #foundmyhappiness

Moral of the episode: Take a moment to look around and find joy in the little things. Trust me, it'll bring you peace! 😊
