Day 13 - This n that

I am too immersed in book today to think or observe things to write about for the ongoing series. It’s about cooking, women and the misogynistic view of the country they staying in, and how it affects them deeply. It’s supposedly a thriller, but the repetitive cooking and descriptions of how the food taste etc is a bit overwhelming for me. I don’t like cooking much and do it for survival. I like a quote from the book till what I have read.

‘Cooking is enjoyable, but the moment it becomes a duty, it grows boring.

When you are forced to do something, it becomes a chore, and the pleasure disappears.’

The book I’m talking about is “Butter” by Asako Yuzuki

I am also worried about the topics that I write about, like are they too silly, so irrelevant, so meaningless. Or is it another attack of the dementors? This and that random tidbits was the core of my blog earlier. And the reason why it didn’t become successful much either. Atleast that’s what I consider as reason.

Some parts of you stops you in sharing such negative thinking all the time. A survival mechanism to come out of the rut on your own. Who wins though!?

I have found your writing quite relatable! So I hope you don't worry about sounding silly or irrelevant. Keep them coming!

Books of 2024 : Book 13

Around halfway through the book, lovers split. The reason for splitting is too cliched and reminded me of our Saas-Bahu dramas. I almost thought of quitting and not reading further but read on to complete the book 😅. The book does pick up a little later.

Reading Habit

My monkey brain is in overdrive when I am alone. I can’t read. I can’t write. I can’t watch an entire movie. I can’t code. Well this is all I can do when I can. There is not much else to me.

Day 9 - Writing tricks

This “NoBreakNovember” series by thinkdeli reminds me of another writing community I was part of, years earlier. We used to post everyday in April under “AprilBloggingChallenge”. I have attempted only once and that itself tired me out. I was out of ideas dang in the middle. Thoug...

Day 1 - I have no idea

Trying my hand at writing for 30 days straight. I have no idea what I am gonna write though. Sometimes I feel I’d probably write more if there was a knife which would start running behind me the moment I stop writing. Isn’t every day like this? I don’t clean the room until it’s s...

Engaging in a daily writing practice…

Engaging in a daily writing practice of at least 100 words requires a well-organized strategy to ensure consistency and stimulate creativity. Like some of us, should random topics prove ineffective, adopting a more focused and deliberate approach may be beneficial.

Day 11 - Miso

It all started as usual with KDramas. The journey into Korean food, finding out about ramen and sushi(actually gimbap in korean which we thought as sushi), ordering from Daily Sushi, finding out about other korean cafés in Bangalore. It all happened because of the crash landing(...

GAP

I am here. I am sorry, I am not here for you. I am here for myself. I made a promise. I want to keep it. I am setting expectations - again more mine than yours. It takes away the performance pressure. It’s ok if you don’t read further. I am writing this more for me than for you...
