Day 3 - Linkin Park is back again

The new album of Linkin Park is “From Zero”. For a person who studied pure carnatic and sang bhajans and Bollywood songs, rock songs were a revelation. They were introduced to me by two young men (boys need to be given credit for introducing rock and western songs to their girlfriends!) during my younger days. No idea why they like the head banging though but I liked them because of the words. Maybe I was always attracted to the words and writings. For a woman living in India in those days, in the end it definitely didn’t matter. Be it studies or job in the end we had to marry and settle down. Most were numb enough and our angst was quite relatable to the screaming voices played in the song. 

In the comeback album, I liked Emily’s voice, especially in the Overflow song. Over the years I don’t want to scream anymore, hence don’t like her “screaming pants”. The soft rock lover in me likes all the songs in the album. I love the Emptiness machine since I always had an inclination to “be part of something”. Which one is your favourite?
