Navigation lights for life

Yesterday I heard various one liners which I think will help all of us. Most of them were regarding anxiety and loneliness; there is no new info there. But reiterating the same heard lines of advice may seep through the thick wall of our ego at some point in the future.

Mindfulness - I kept on reminding myself to do headspace especially this new year since it’s a hatke resolution in the pool of marathon runners and gymming. But what I forgot unconsciously was that or was not reminding myself was that the resolution should be of being mindful not in the ten minutes only but also in each moment. Bring back myself to the present without judgments - when doing activity or when thinking or planning (projects, ideas, finances, travel etc) or talking to others (including kids!) or myself.

Loneliness - When the external version of myself is not in touch with the internal version of myself, the inner me(or the soul or feeling part of brain) feels “alone” since no one is hearing it. This gives way to feeling of loneliness. So once you are comfortable with being yourself you may not feel lonely even when you are alone.

Anxiety - Along with mindfulness above, which helps in being aware of the anxious thoughts, try to replace such thoughts with rational thoughts which are evidence based thoughts. This applies to all kinds of anxiety which basically stems from fears. Once we are done with these untangling of knots (or thoughts ) we can decide what to do with the piece of straight rope or the life path we are left with. Again think in the present. What I can do now.
