Strange Relationships
In the past few years I have realized a very strange thing.
The fiercest sports rivals become the best friends somehow!
How does that happen?
Any kid in the past decade could have sworn that Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are enemies. But that couldn’t be farther from the truth. They are best friends who cry at each other’s retirements.
Same thing with the Aussie giants like Hayden, and Gilchrist and Indian legends like Bhajji, and Ganguly. Today, they have the best things to say about each other.
It is natural to respect an opponent that raises the bar for you and asks better of you. But does the respect happen in the moment? May be sub consciously. But you are too busy keeping up and staying ahead in the moment. I guess it happens only when you get some room for reflection.
Wonder if something like this happens outside of sports.
Are there people who are demanding better of me, who are pushing me to my limits? I want to thank them in advance. Is there a thing like intrinsic motivation. Or do external factors take you farther than anything else?
I guess, I need more reflection to figure this out. Got to finish this chicken code for now.

“What does he want?”
Trying to make a list of people I know who can help me get new customers. I look at each name and try to remember my relation with the person. I wonder if they remember me. I wonder if they will be annoyed that I am contacting them out of the blue. I haven’t made an effort to s...
War and Peace
For most, sport is a form of escape. Escape from many variety of things. Including war and bloodshed.
Serious hobbies
I don’t know if other people relate to this. I have a problem - I can only do serious hobbies. The hobbies themselves are not serious, it is just I become serious about them. For example, cricket - something which I resumed for 2-3 months this year and then finally stopped.
