Family trips

My 5 year old cousin brother called me handsome. Everybody knows kids don’t lie.

He called me fat also but lets ignore that.

I was wondering if I can get him to also call me a good SRE.

Dad called french fries as aloo ka dandi (its true) out of nowhere

Less utensils at home, bachelors house, mom asked if I want tea, I said very little

Mom gave me tea in a shot glass

Parents listened to a lot of desi hip hop and said ‘ye kaun ro raha hai’

We played some very old hindi songs too, and I said the same thing about them

Family trips are fun

Having a Maharashtrian father and an Andhrite mother, Blend of the two languages was a daily norm for her. By the age of 2 or so she was very effortlessly switching between the two languages and translating phrases to the two sets of grand-parents. And I was a proud mama.
